Here at Executive Honda, we know that many drivers here in the New Britain, CT area are looking for greener cars these days. We make it easy for local drivers to test drive a model like the 2018 Honda Clarity or the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid, and now we’re excited to offer one more option. The 2019 Honda Insight just went into production, and we think that it’ll impress any driver shopping for a new green vehicle.
The 2019 Honda Insight will be built right here in the United States, at a plant in Greensburg, Indiana. The Honda brand recently invested more than sixty million dollars in its American manufacturing plants to pave the way for more hybrid and electrified vehicles. This green model will join the Honda Civic and the Honda CR-V on the assembly line at this factory, but it will also get some crucial components from other nearby plants in Ohio. Its twin electric motor unit will be built at one Ohio plant, while another will assemble its 1.5-liter engine. Finally, all of these pieces will come together to form a unique new hybrid vehicle in Indiana.
The new Honda Insight will offer everything you’ve come to expect from a Honda model, along with the latest green technology. Its engine and electric motors give it a combined output of 151 horsepower and 197 lb-ft of torque, so this green car will be anything but boring. The 2019 Honda Insight will also be slotted between the Honda Civic and the Honda Accord in the lineup, so you can be sure that it will offer a spacious interior. We’re excited to see this new hybrid for ourselves!
